Mixed emotions!

I have now had my Baha for 1 week tomorrow!

Yes I have noticed a slight difference in my hearing in my left ear but not much.
I still can’t hear anyone on the left side taking to me which is very disheartening!

As I said last time it is an on going process so tomorrow I am going back the the audiologist to find out how we can fix it!

When I first had it fitted and adjusted I think I was scared that everything would be to loud. I have been adjusting the settings to the loudest volume and I can’t notice the difference, so help is really needed.

Fingers crossed that it will be as simple as plugging me and my Baha back into the computer and resetting it.

I was dreaming of a miracle, it just hasn’t happened yet, but I am sure it will.
Good things sometimes take time!

Hi Sam! I just read your blog. It’s nice to read your story. I’m 44 years old and I went completely deaf in my left ear 3 months ago. It just popped one day. Probably due to a virus?? They don’t really know why. I have been to the ENT many times and I guess, unless God heals me, it’s permanent. I’m figuring my new life out though… I related to your story – sitting at the left side of everyone, walking on the left side of my friends, etc… It’s not that bad, but it gets annoying. Especially tiring to keep asking, “sorry, what did you say?” And having NO clue at all where sound is coming from. So I am considering the BAHA too. My doctor told me about it yesterday so I am researching it. Wondering if it’s worth it. I’m going to try a CROS hearing aid for free for 30 days first and see what I think of that. So, I’m interested in how it goes for you. Thanks for sharing your story.

    • Hi Laura,
      Thankyou for reading my Blog.
It is a big decision to make so take your time. Try the Baha band as well as this will give you an idea of what it would be like.
Good luck with the hearing aids.
Let me know how you go.
